Additional Information

Before the hike

• Drink plenty of water the day before
• Have a carb-heavy dinner
• Arrive well-rested
• Avoid alcoholic beverages 24 hours before
• Have a light breakfast on the day of the hike

For the hike

• Hiking boots (previously worn, with a deep tread)
• Thick long socks, preferably wool
• Comfortable, warm walking pants
• Nylon or synthetic fiber shirt
• Thick jacket
• Raincoat
• Warm hat
• Sunscreen (minimum SPF 30)
• Sunglasses with UV protection
• Gloves

For the return

• Towel
• Complete change of clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, socks)
• Sneakers or sandals
• Sweatshirt or jacket
