Poblano Mezcal Tour [Puebla]

The experience begins at the Estrella de Puebla, where we will meet to start our journey. Beyond just tasting mezcal, we want to introduce you to the hard work involved in its production, from the harvest of agave to its distillation and conversion into mezcal.

We will take you to a community in the Mixteca poblana, now part of the Mezcal Route. Here, you can learn about the entire process from start to finish. We will begin with a walk through the agave fields, where you will learn about the different types that grow in Puebla’s soil, their characteristics, and their importance to the ecosystem.

Next, we will visit a palenque to observe the mezcal production process, from cooking to distilling. Our guides will provide a detailed explanation of this process and the ancestral techniques still preserved in the region.

You will enjoy a practical, simple, and friendly tasting session, identifying the different notes of this divine drink. Additionally, we will pair the tasting with a snack that enhances the flavors and textures. You will have the opportunity to take photographs to capture each special moment.

Finally, we will return to Puebla to conclude this enriching experience.
